Hundreds & Thousands of Cookies have hundreds and thousands of colors! It doesn't have to be hundreds and thousands of different colors, but it sure is a lot of colors. Who says they have to be different colors? Okay, so there may only be seven different colors in reality, but there are so many of them that you can almost be fooled into thinking that there are actually hundreds of them. Life is much better with color! It would be a sad world if it were always black and white with a few different shades of gray in between. I wonder what a rainbow looks like? Will they be there?

But back to the cake! These cookies are so much fun! And how could they not be in all those colors! The cakes are quite light, with a slightly sweet taste, and even though the amount of butter is small, there is still that homemade butter biscuit flavor we all love! They are also very easy to make! It's like fairy bread meets cake man!

Pressing cookie dough into a plate of hundreds and thousands is definitely easier than sprinkling hundreds and thousands on it and trying to squeeze it. It also avoids the problem of getting rid of all the hundreds and thousands of loose ends that don't stick together enough when you pour them all over the cookie dough. Don't worry we've all made that mistake at least once.

Hundreds & Thousands of Cookies
Ingredients:
60 grams butter
1/3 cup caster sugar
1 beaten egg
tsp vanilla essence
1 teaspoon milk
2/3 cup self-raising flour
cup all-purpose flour
100 grams hundreds and thousands

Method:
Steps 1.
Preheat oven to medium, 180 degrees Celsius.
Steps 2.
Beat butter by beating with a whisk or electric beater, then add sugar gradually, beating until light and fluffy.
Steps 3.
Add beaten eggs, vanilla and milk then mix well.
Steps 4.
Add the sifted self-raising flour and mix well with a wooden spoon.
Steps 5.
Gradually add the sifted flour until it becomes a dough.
Steps 6.
Put hundreds and thousands on the plate. Take a spoonful of dough and roll it into a ball, then press it down to hundreds and thousands.
Steps 7.
Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 8-10 minutes or until golden. (Leave about an inch between each cookie as they expand slightly as they bake).
